Erdal Kardaş is the founder and managing partner of K&P Legal Law Firm. His practice focuses on Commercial Law, Company Law, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, foreign direct investment, International Law, Contract Law, Labor Law, Trade Union Law and collective bargaining legislation. He advises predominantly international clients.
Born in Nazilli in 1967, he graduated from the English Department of İzmir Bornova Anatolian High School (1985) and from İstanbul University Faculty of Law (1989). He holds a certificate from the University of Edinburgh School of Law and studied German at the Goethe-Institut.
He is a member of the İzmir Bar Association, the Union of Turkish Bar Associations and the International Bar Association (IBA). He served on the Foreign Relations Committee of the Union of Turkish Bar Associations and represented Turkey at the Balkan Bar Associations meeting in Thessaloniki. He was also a member of the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA), headquartered in Brussels.
He has served the Turkish-American Business Association (TABA-AmCham İzmir) as a board member, as Secretary General of its İzmir Branch and for two terms as a member of its supervisory board. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Aegean Region Chamber of Industry, Legal Advisor to its Board of Directors and a member of its Industrial Relations Committee, within whose training group he has for many years delivered seminars on Labor Law, occupational health and safety, labor legislation and industrial relations. He is also a member of the German-Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in İzmir, and serves on the board of trustees of the İzmir Bornova Anatolian High School Educational Foundation.
In 2015 he was honored by the Union of Turkish Bar Associations and the İzmir Bar Association with a plaque marking his 25th year in the legal profession.
He is fluent in English and German and is a sworn translator in English.
