Due to the ongoing effects of the Covid-19 Coronovirus epidemic, which continues to show its effect all over the world, also in our country, many data controllers or their superior institutions, various data controllers or their superior institutions, With the Decision of the Personal Data Protection Board dated 11/03/2021 and numbered 2021/238, as a result of the evaluation of the requests submitted to the Authority by sector representatives, some public institutions and professional organizations in the nature of public institutions;
- The deadline for real and legal person data controllers with more than 50 employees or annual financial balance sheet total of more than 25 million TL and real and legal person data controllers residing abroad to fulfill their obligation to register in the Registry until 31.12.2021 ,
- The deadline for real and legal person data controllers whose annual number of employees is less than 50 and whose annual financial balance is less than 25 million TL and whose main field of activity is to process special personal data is to fulfill their obligation to register in the Registry , is 31.12.2021,
- Extension of the period until 31.12.2021 for the data controllers of public institutions and organizations and professional organizations in the nature of public institutions to fulfill their obligation to register in the Registry,
It was unanimously resolved that the aforementioned Decision be published on the Institution’s website and in the Official Gazette.
